| Introduction | I work for an MSP in Michigan that serves 450 clients in Michigan and surrounding areas. My daily workload is platform-diverse, but that's what keeps it interesting. The majority of my posts will be Fortinet and Cisco specific, but I've worked on HP, Juniper, Dell, Avaya, and Adtran networking equipment too, so there may be a spattering of vendors here and there. Working with a multitude of vendors can be difficult at times, but sticking to the OSI model and the KISS method can take you a long ways. My personal favorite is "when in doubt, draw it out!" Besides, networking is just a bunch of 1's and 0's, right? How hard could this really be? With that bit of background, my intent is to share the solutions to problems I've encountered while earning a living in the field of computer network engineering.
