| Introduction | I was born and raised in Mafra, Portugal, and I remain closely connected to the tranquility, vast open spaces, and the patterns of the rural farms and fields surrounding this lovely town. Indeed, there are secret areas where sheltered pockets of humanity can still be found, and I am privileged (and honored) to frequent some of them. A nature lover, I have spent my life watching the ocean, the hills, the forests, and the animals, and I combine this with my passion for peace. I work full-time at TELENIMA, as a Chief Communications Officer specializing in media, ICT, technology, cybersecurity, and privacy. My work spans international collaborations with organizations, media groups, NGOs, and intergovernmental institutions operating in complex and high-impact environments.
