Introduction | I'm a 22 year old college student from Harlingen, Texas, which is within spitting distance from Mexico. That's pretty much all that's notable about it. I go to college at the University of Texas Pan-American in Edinburgh, 45 minutes away. That's all that's notable about it. |
Interests | Comics, professional wrestling, video games, and academics. Pretty much in that order. I have my priorities straight. Or upside down. |
Favorite Movies | Scream, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Pulp Fiction, the Crow, Kill Bill, Hellboy, Chinatown, Bubba Ho-Tep, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, Shaun of the Dead, the Breakfast Club, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Spider-Man movies, X2, Ed Wood, Animal House, Blazing Saddles, and Mean Guns. Yeah, that last one really sticks out, doesn't it? |
Favorite Music | Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix Exprience, Led Zeppelin, the Beattles, Janis Joplin, the Doors... think your local classic rock station. Although I'm liking more hip hop these days. |
Favorite Books | I'm going to use this for comics, because I get easily bored reading novels: Anything by Grant Morrison, Mike Mignola, Alan Moore, Garth Ennis, most anything by Peter Milligan, Ed Brubaker, and Brian Bendis, some things by Warren Ellis and Mark Millar, and Astonishing X-Men. That about covers it. I'm also partial to Silver Age Marvel and Chris Claremont's first X-Men run. And Blue Monday. And Ghost World. Same Difference was good. Planetes and Kazuo Koike's work is manga I can get behind. I'm reading Jaime Hernandez's Locas right now and loving it. Yeah, I read a lot of comics. |
Aren't papier mache cuts the worst?
No.
