About me

Location NJ, United States
Introduction I'm just starting out as an artist, trying to make a living doing what I love. I have a degree in Anthropology and Archaeology from the University of Michigan, and after teaching for a year and bumbling around on digs for another, I decided I wanted to pursue art full time. I make beads in the fire and fashion them into jewelry. My designs are oganically elegant, with movement and surprise paramount. I try to instill a bit of mystery, the unknown, into each piece. Even if two bracelets are the same design and color, they will not be identical. I just established my etsy website, and am excited to begin the expansion and promotion process. Reading and thinking take up the rest of my time (sometimes the thinking continues unbidden into hours of the night!). When I can I love to write fantasy and thriller novellas, or spend some quality time with Master Chief in Halo or in the lands of Oblivion. An admitted Trekkie, I adore anything from the franchise. Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis are close seconds. Of course, Battlestar (new) is one of my favs too.

When your science teacher smashed a frozen rose with a hammer, did you warm the petals to bring them back to life?

Wow, this actually happened in my astronomy class! No, we did not...the petals were in thousands of pieces. I doubt warming them would have done much.
