Introduction I’ve been earning a living as a writer for over 25 years with a certain degree of success: An Emmy nomination, A Clarion Award for Women in Communications, a United Nations Award, A Silver Quill Award, even a Blue Mountain Arts Award for prose. I’ve also been an invited judge of the esteemed Blue Ribbon Panel of The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for many years, have been the recipient of 5 Telly Awards for my television show and I’m a member in good standing of the National Writer's Union. I’ve ghostwritten several books for others. I’ve also written television documentaries, short stories, a collection of vignettes for greeting cards and, children's stories. I’ve been published in many newspapers, small, large and avant-garde; online as well as mainstream zines. My political articles have been widely published on the WWW. Additionally, I’ve written award-winning radio and television commercials & co-wrote a multi-award-winning documentary for NBC-TV. Presently, I’m working on completing a novel of my own: StarLight, StarBright. I also host and produce “The Norma Sherry Show” which airs weekly on WQXT-TV.

Favorite Movies Almost any movie with Audrey Hepburn; ditto Penelope Cruz. Love in the Afternoon; Lars and the Real Girl. Love B&W Oldies: Fred Astaire, Tracy & Hepburn, Charlie Chaplin, Ingrid Bergman, Fredric March...way too many to list
Favorite Music Love most music, but I admit, I still don't relate to rap.
Favorite Books I'm an avid reader. Again too many to mention, but I love reading anything by Carl Hiaasen for the sheer fun of it. Toni Morrison for the beauty of language; Maya Angelou's Why the Caged Bird Sings; Catcher in the Rye, Almost anything Shakespeare; The Painted Bird; Naked Lunch; Again, almost anything Truman Capote wrote; Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert; Ulysses; To Kill a Mockingbird; The Red Tent; Homer's Iliad and Odyssey; Roots; Les Miserables; Leon Uris' Exodus; The Little Prince; The Diary of a Young Girl; The Godfather; The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich; The Color Purple; Hiroshima; Most of Michael Crichton for pure escapism...and many, many more.
