Introduction	My name is Dennis Wennerstrom, I am a writer, an engineer, a woodworker, and an artist. I am also the proud father of two amazing grown daughters who seem to adore my sense of humor. I often write for them-- random thoughts and e-mails--in which I express my shock at various cultural phenomena, using my particular Wennerstrom sense of humor. Recently, I wrote a rant about the consumer capitalism behind the cold and flu industry, and it made both of my (otherwise refined) daughters SNORT out loud! My oldest daughter praised my thoughts, saying that I have found a niche market in satire: 'exaggeration comedy'--and that I should start a blog. My youngest agreed, saying that I have a talent for making poignant cultural critiques in an extremely hilarious manner and should start aforementioned blog. Since both of my girls are PhD candidates, the eldest in English, I decided to take this blog thing seriously. So here is "Wired for Weird" for you, daughters: do you think it will still be funny to anyone who is not a Wennerstrom?
