| Introduction | The Cumberland Business Journal is the primary source for insight,analysis, news coverage and promotion of business and the economy in the Upper Cumberland's 15 counties of Macon, Clay, Pickett, Fentress, Overton, Jackson, Smith, Trousdale, Dekalb, White, Putnam, Cumberland, Cannon, Warren and Van Buren. Legacy is a CBJ monthly series designed to explore the relationship between the region's past, present and perhaps future. Articles are prepared exclusively for the CBJ's printed edition by experts in a field or though research conducted by CBJ staff. Legacy welcomes suggestions or submissions for this blog and or consideration in the CBJ print edition. Photographs are used with permission or are original CBJ photos. Advisors for this series are Randy Williams, Historic Preservation Planner or Upper Cumberland Development District, and Dr.W. Calvin Dickinson, retired professor of history from Tennessee Tech Univeristy. All material belongs to the CBJ and may only be used with written permission of the editor. |
