About me

Location Willunga, South Australia, Australia
Introduction Willunga Quilters are a small group of women who meet twice monthly (in the Willunga Uniting Church Hall) to share their love of patchwork and quilting. The group formed in 1987 with original members of Natalie Spilsbury, Joyce Jonker, Brenda Pentland, Adele Probert and Margaret Lawrence. It is a non-profit organisation which regularly raises funds for the local and wider community. Willunga Quilters hold an exhibition approximately every two years and plan their next for Oct 2010. Their talents are many and diverse, ranging from hand and machine patchwork and quilting to embroidery and appliqué and even cooking. They endeavour to better their knowledge of their craft by holding workshops, bringing in guest teachers and attending other shows and field trips. WQ have a lot of fun, are very supportive of each other and have developed deep friendships over their years together. Currently, Willunga Quilters has twenty two members with some vacancies." We welcome young, enthusiastic quilters who can share their knowledge of the craft. New members must have basic patchwork and quilting skills". Please contact - Secretary: Brenda 08 8556 2198
