Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?
Confucius is often credited with the invention of chop sticks as he saw forks as creating a violent and unhealthy relation ship with ones food. I imagine that forks however are the original utensil as utensils were largely unnecessary before monkey/humans hunted larger prey for meat and it was probably a natural evolution from stabbing it to kill it to stabbing it to eat it.
