| Introduction | My name is Makoons Miller-Tanner. I am of Onyote^aka (Oneida Nation of Wisconsin) and Nagachiiwanong (Fond Du Lac Ojibwe) heritage. I have taught Ojibwe language, culture and history at the high school level, have been a social worker for tribal governments, a battered woman's advocate for the American Indian Community Housing Organization, and am currently a sexual assault survivor's advocate with the Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault. I have worked primarily with Native American communities and have followed my passion for helping Native women to doing this blog. This blog is not sponsored or endorsed by anyone but me. |
