| Introduction | Jenny Thompson currently resides in Manhattan after receiving her extremely random but awesome Bachelors Degree in Dance Studies, Choreography & Writing about Performance from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She is a freelance dance writer and has the pleasure of reviewing dance and theater at lower east side performance hubs such as PS 122 and Danspace Project at St. Marks Church to the west side’s Theater Row, The Joyce Theater and Lincoln Center. Her writing can be found on examiner.com (NY Dance Examiner), eyeonthearts.org, and nycdancewriting.blogspot.com. In addition, she takes dance classes at Broadway Dance center, and volunteers as a Jazz Dance Teacher for 12-18-year-olds for East Harlem’s after school program, Groove With Me. Oh, and her nine to five gig is working as the Manager of Institutional Giving for an NYC-based modern dance company. |
