Introduction	i'm mel (that's short for 'melissa', not 'melanie' or 'melchizedek'). most days, i'm a counseling pastor in a rural church. every day, i'm a sinner needing some serious grace.
Interests	My username used to be windofhebel. I recently changed it, but I thought I'd keep this explanation: why 'windofhebel'? 'hebel' is the hebrew word used in Ecclesiastes and meaning 'vanity' or 'meaninglessness'. i think that about sums up the pretentiousness of the blogosphere in general. don't you? also, it fits with the 'under the sun' theme. check out Ecclesiates some time. then follow it up with a quick dose of the Gospel of John or Romans or a shot of whiskey or something before you take it too much to heart. also, have a trusted person on speed-dial ready to talk to you about what you just read. trust me. anyhoo, if you want to know more about me, just read the blog. it's easier that way.
