| Introduction | Bethlehem Ministry is a not for profit organization created for the sole purpose of aiding Haiti’s poor. Our venture into the poverty stricken nation began in 1985 when we partnered with Haitian visionary Rev. Jean Monique Bruno to establish elementary schools in the cities of Cap Haitien, Trou du Nord and Limonade. We then transitioned into a 501(c)(3) designation in 2001 in an effort to facilitate the implementation of a more comprehensive attack on national poverty. Committed to working in a lesser known and serviced region of the country, our US based nonprofit planted itself in the remote and underdeveloped region of northeastern Haiti. Since ‘adopting’ the city of Terrier Rouge as our home, we have worked to help establish a Montessori based K-7 school, an income generating sustainable agriculture project that creates bio-fuel from a native plant, and a medical clinic that seeks to address area health and wellness challenges. |
