| Introduction | I have an education in fine arts and anthropology. I love painting and being creative. A few years ago I developed an illness that has left me unable to work with many of the traditional mediums anymore. I decided to go digital. I then began the process of learning how to paint with a pen and table on a pc. I moved on to photo editing. Working pixel by pixel taught me control of my pen and mouse. I wanted more than just printed photos and turned my interest to fabric. I purchased an embroidery machine and started collecting designs. I wanted to do my own designs so I purchased digitizing software. I stumbled upon some very inspiring websites. They covered lace making, quilting, applique, fabric painting, free motion embroidery, fabric printing and more. That is where I am at. I have all this in my head. I have the tools. I have a fabric and thread stash. I have the materials to create my own body double for designing my clothes. And, now I have you reading this blog so I had better get started. Olivia |
