Occupation ELL Educator
Location Haverhill, Massachusetts, United States
Introduction I have been working in the field of Teaching English Language Learners for about fourteen years. Having worked as a teacher and teacher trainer in Wuhan and Nanjing, China, and in Banjarmasin, Indonesia, in 1997 I returned to the US and eventually came to work at the Marsh Grammar School, where I currently teach ESL to students in Grades K - 8 and do teacher training as well. In addition to working in Asia, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and a high school exchange student to Sweden. I speak French, Krio, Mandarin, and Swedish. Although I now live in Massachusetts, I was born in New Jersey and grew up there and in Pennsylvania. I majored in anthropology at Brown University in Rhode Island and obtained master's degrees in international administration and TESOL from the School for International Training in Vermont.
