About me

Introduction I started working in public libraries a longer and longer time ago (how did that happen?) as a Circulation Clerk and then went on to be a storyteller and puppeteer. My Masters took me to research jobs for corporate libraries but now I'm back working with kids again. It's so much more fun and the opportunities to learn and be creative are boundless!
Interests Anything outdoors, running (well, plodding really), cycling, studio cycling, hiking and camping, stained glass, batik, theater
Favorite Movies After Hours, Toy Story 2, The Incredibles, Up, The Princess Bride, Get Smart (the Movie), Casablanca
Favorite Music Dance music! I've told my kids to put on The Romantics "What I Like About You" and Talking Heads "Burning Down the House" when I'm on my deathbed and I'll probably get up and dance!
Favorite Books Patrick O'Brien's Aubrey and Maturin series, Dorothy Dunnett's Lymond Chronicles (how can she be even MORE brilliant than Patrick O'Brien?) and Alan Pattison's Inspector Shan's Tibetan mysteries (the ugly truth about the Chinese in Tibet wrapped in fabulous stories and steeped in Buddhist spirituality.)
