Introduction	Ian started out as a newspaper journalist in Birmingham in 1963, heading to California in 1975, with the love of his life and the kids following soon afterwards. Ian did very nicely as a syndicated feature writer specialising in the entertainment industry or "showbiz" (he interviewed over 900 famous and less famous people for print outlets all over the world). Until the Internet changed the freelance writing game forever, that is. Since the Internet upset their applecart, newspapers and magazines everywhere have shrunk to match their decimated profit margins, and money for exclusive content is tight. Jenny's background is in nursing, first as an SRN, then becoming a midwife and learning lessons that first benefited her patients, then stood her in good stead when she went on to have three sons and a daughter! Both our careers were helped by our enjoyment of meeting people and making new friends, and now we're back in the UK (since January, 2014) , getting out in the fresh air and the countryside is a fine way to do that while wallowing in history and enjoying breathtaking views!
