| Introduction | Hello!! My name is Jill Carlson, and I am a first grade teacher. I absolutely love my job and feel very fortunate to be able to work in such a rewarding field! From a very young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I kept that goal in mind and eventually got my dream job! This is my third year teaching first grade. I have been involved in working with children most of my life. I started out babysitting, worked at a daycare, worked as a teacher’s associate at Rockwell City Lytton Elementary, and finally became the “real deal”, a teacher. My previous teaching assignments included a long term 5th grade substitute and a 7/8th grade social studies teacher. I grew up in Barnum and attended MNW. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in reading and Social Studies through Buena Vista University. I also just completed my Master’s Degree in Professional Education through Morningside College. |
