Introduction I am an Industrial Designer that has been studying and practicing design within a consumer product related context for seven years. I am constantly learning new ways of doing things that make me more efficient, and appreciative of the world around me. For me, Design is engaging and challenging, I wouldn't do it if it were easy. I love to wake up not knowing how the day will unfold. I have learned a lot about design, myself, and the design process along the way. I would like to impart some information to you concerning design, from design planning and research, to designing parts for manufacturing and mass production. I will be exposing my fellow designers ideas, sketches, renderings, and processes to you. I am not interested in only showing the cream of the crop designers. I am interested in presenting the wide range of design disciplines and capabilities that the professional and student world has to offer.
Interests Family, experiencing life as it happens and not from a distance, challenging myself to step outside of my comfort zone, exploring the world around each of us with my family, exploring all of the facets that design has to offer, architecture, the why in everything, and the interests of my family and friends.
Favorite Movies Too many to list here. I love movies that captivate me and take me away from the here, now, and next week. Movies are one of my escape buttons. If I see a preview for a movie I think I might want to see. I make a conscious effort to change the channel or to skip them so I am not made more aware of the plot or events that may or may not unfold in the movie. I love the unexpected when watching a movie or TV show.
Favorite Music I listen to everything. Perhaps whats on, or what you are listening to. I don't define myself by the music I listen to. Although the music I listen to will always bring back memories of important times in my life.
Favorite Books I don't read much. I am trying to read more, but I can't focus on the words. I probably need to go to the optometrist, but I do have 20/15 vision.

How can you use the thought process behind design to change your world? How can little changes to your daily life make a big difference to your mental health and outlook?
