Introduction	I am just like so many of you. Everything was going according to plan and then the plan changes and you have no choice but to change with it. I lost my job last year. Just writing that takes a lot but I am so comfortable with it now I can actually say it out loud! Can You? I am a 47 year old divorced Mom with two teenagers and a man who loves me with or without a fancy title. I have toyed with writing a book or starting a blog or both and now that I am taking a class at URI and have to start a blog as an assignment I am motivated to do just that! Come along with me on my journey of re-inventing myself, looking for opportunities, what to do when you find out friends that you thought you could count on you cannot. I will tell you my story and share what worked and what has not, if you will share your story. We can all learn from each other. Here is my story- what's yours? You may be asking what "My Big Time Out" is all about. I truly did know what it would turn out to be until I lost my job back in March of 2009. You think of a time out as something we do to our kids to punish them –if we only realized that it is a time of reflection when done right.
