| Introduction | Greetings! Welcome to the Vintage Veneers Décor “Reference Desk" where I share my passion, knowledge and experience with all things furniture painting. I founded Vintage Veneers Décor, in 2016, after two decades of DIY construction and decorative painting of furniture, accents, cabinetry, walls, and built-in furnishings for my and others' homes. I have an affinity for power tools, and get great satisfaction from building and creating with my own hands. After discovering the ease and beauty of chalk-based paints (and running out of my own furniture pieces to paint), I turned my hobby into a business and have restyled nearly 100 furniture pieces and scores of decorative accents, which I sell at vintage artisan markets and online. In 2019, I transformed my workshop into a formal painting studio where I complete my projects, teach decorative painting workshops, and invite other furniture artists to paint. I love teaching, mentoring and collaborating with others. I started this "Reference Desk", as a resource for those endeavors. I hope you enjoy my site.
