| Introduction | Miguel Choi has been a fan of the metal/hardcore genre for over a decade. He is fascinated by the different moods, styles, and structures that bands under said caliber tackle through their musicianship and writing, and thus decided to write about their albums in the form of reviews. On the other hand, Miguel also likes to listen to other genres, especially pop and orchestral/soundtrack music. His favorite bands/composers in that field include Lights, Yuki Kajiura, Canon Blue, and Yoko Shimomura. Miguel also enjoys drawing and illustrating, and plans on studying architecture and design during his time in college. Although he mainly draws what he sees in his head more than anything else, he finds that many of his pieces involve the aspects of human nature, including religion, conflict, and other similar themes. In his spare time, Miguel is often surfing the Internet and watching funny videos on YouTube. He also sometimes watches anime, his favorite shows including Baccano!, Mushi-Shi, Bunny Drop, and Kino’s Journey. Other hobbies of his include napping and getting lost inside of his own thoughts. |
