Interests My main interest are travel and Japanese martial arts (Kobudo) In 1984 I met Kiyoshi Yamazaki (Ryobukai North America Shibucho) and through him Sam Combs of the Kadokan dojo, a Yoshinkan Branch dojo in Cafliornina. It was the Ryobukai that opened the doors of traditonal Japanese martial arts. In 1992 I traveled to Canada to train with Fred Hayens and group. 1995 I had the chance to travel to the Yoshinkan headquarters in Tokyo Japan, and the first instructors gasshuku. On September 21, 2015 I returned to Japan to train at the Kudan Dojo in Tokyo Japan, and was promoted to Shodan in Mugai Ryu Iaihyoho. March 19, 2016 in Palmdale Calf i was promoted to Nidan in Nakamura Ryu Battodo along with some of my students. http://www.alaskakarate.club/
