About me

Introduction The Renfrew County Stewardship Council is a private land conservation program that brings together landowners, organizations and agencies to share information and partner on land stewardship projects. Our goal is to promote and encourage sustainable use of natural resources. Our key focus is issues concerning forestry, wetlands, wildlife, lakes and rivers. The Council has worked closely with the MNR, Ontario Stewardship and a variety of partners to work on land stewardship projects. The council has succeeded in partnering on a wide range of new and existing projects developed to enhance the stewardship ethic of Renfrew County such as the Renfrew County Outdoor Woodlot Conference, Renfrew County Stewardship Ranger Program, Renfrew County Natural History Day and the Renfrew County Regional Envirothon. “Our mission is to encourage responsible land use and resource stewardship for the future.”
