| Introduction | Raised in Spring City, Utah, I am the second son of three boys born to J Sherman and Rudy Strate. My father was a dairy farmer and mechanic who taught me how to work and be self-sufficient. I served an LDS Mission to Tulsa, Oklahoma. I received an AS from Snow College and a BS from Utah State. I later earned my MEd from The University of Phoenix. My wife of 27 years is Michel. She is a teacher at Uintah elementary. We have 7 children ages 11 to 24, and 1 grandson. I am in my 25th year of teaching U.S. History, Financial Literacy, and Government. The last 15 years at Bonneville High School, and 10 years prior to that at South Ogden Junior High. South Ogden is a great place to live and raise a family. We enjoy living here and look forward to many more years in the community. I love being a teacher and relish being a part of educating young people. |
