Introduction	I live in Kurilpa, the indigenous name given to that bend in the river that takes in West End, Highgate Hill, Hill End and South Brisbane. I help my partner run a national social enterprise, and together we race after our four children, while being involved in many local community groups and events. I'm a big believer in grass-roots action and practical solutions at the local level, because it's local people who know their community the best and they should feel empowered to take responsibility for their own communities.
