Introduction	I am an independent consultant and owner of Milk Quality Pays, a company that provides milk quality and mastitis evaluation services to dairy producers. Previously, I worked with Penn State Cooperative Extension for 9.7 years as Dairy Herd Health Educator, Workforce & Milking Management Specialist in Southeastern Pennsylvania, University Park, and the Central Susquehanna Valley. My Ph.D. is from UW-Madison where I used math concepts to better understand how information from various sources - cow, bacteria, herd, risk factors, diagnostic tests - all fit together to provide solutions for a mastitis challenge. After that I taught dairy management to undergraduates at University of Wisconsin-River Falls, worked for a feed corporation as a technical specialist, and for a small dairy consulting business. After my Bachelors (Univ. Maryland) and before Masters (Univ. Florida) I worked on several dairies in Florida as herdsperson and provided relief milking services for herds of various sizes. Because of the people I work with, ability to constantly learn new things, and the science behind the job, most days I can't imagine a better career!
