Industry Communications or Media
Location Somewhere near Route 66, United States
Introduction This blog was born on a legendary highway, in early morning sunlight and setting suns. A writer then in desire only, I traveled Route 66 to a cubicle in a big building in twin cities on an Illinois prairie. I chose the two-lane instead of the four-lane interstate highway next to it because the solitude and slower pace of the “Main Street of America” gave me time to think. Those quiet times, those musings are among the forces that joined together to make it possible for me to write full-time today from the comfort of my home, the tranquility of a Carnegie Library or the warmth of a eatery along the Mother Road. On this blog, I’ll share thoughts and interests as varied as the people who traveled the “most famous road in the world.” But what’s a journey, even one of words, without a traveling companion—someone to share in the adventure? Won’t you join me, please?
