About me

Occupation Licensed Clinical Psychologist & Licensed Acupuncturist
Location Beaverton, Oregon
Introduction I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology then completed a 2 year post-doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology at Menninger. Hired right out of my fellowship I worked at Menninger for 12 years during which I was a Staff Psychologist/Neuropsychologist on a Short-Term Unit and later helped develop the Professionals In Crisis Program. The last 6 years I was the Director of Group Psychotherapy and Group Psychotherapy Training. In 1975 I encountered Traditional Chinese Medicine and spent many years after trying to learn all that I could about it. In 2000 I entered the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine where I completed formal training in TCM. Initially, my interest was in Sports Medicine; later I explored the role of TCM in treating stress, addictive behaviors, and other psychological conditions. I started 2 Roads Crossing to provide state of the art treatment to individuals in the Portland community. Using my diverse skills and knowledge, I tend to my patients’ physical and psychological needs. Addressing both of these areas simultaneously provides a more comprehensive and effective treatment. In my clinic I emphasize prevention as well as treatment.
