| Introduction | I am a parent,of teens and teens+, including a "special-needs" child of seventeen.(I also have several married children and grandchildren.) I embarked on a weight-loss "voyage" over two years ago (at 150 kilos -330 lbs)and I have found the journey an exciting way to live. I am an American living in Israel at present. I am addicted to reading, and love music, writing, and the observing G-d's world. The wings I feel that I am under are the sheltering wings of G-d. I am an observant Jew. "Ricki", my daughter(age 17), has Down syndrome, ADHD, moderate hearing loss(theoretically compensated with a hearing aid that she rarely wears), and a very spunkey personality. |
