| Einführung | Born Cape Town, South Africa, 1944. Educated at University of Southern California (Doctorates in Applied Mathematics and Particle Theory) as well as premed. That ended when I was shot on the first day of the Watts riots. Continued my medical studies at Groote Schuur in South Africa. Military in South Africa. Practiced Micro Neurosurgery at Scripps in La Jolla and Good Samaritan in Los Angeles until I diagnosed myself with a form of Multiple Sclerosis which demanded I abandon my surgical career. Have run a ranch with cattle as well as an oil drilling firm-from my American family-since then. I love living in Kansas, the people around me. Have no time for Social Justice and those who ply that sort of non-work. Have spent time in at least 100 countries, flown over 3,000,000 miles. Speak several languages. Many find my manners too precise but from the military and surgery, it's what one is. Beyond that, how does it hurt anyone to be called Sir or Ma'am as well as say and mean Please or Thank You? |
