| Introduction | Sometimes I forget how very blessed I am. God is so good to me. I have a husband who truly loves me and shows it every day, a sweet little daughter, a baby son growing inside me, families who are always there for us, and I live in a beautiful world. Thank you, Lord. Life is good; it really is. As long as I don't forget the joy of simple things, like garden tomatoes and pretty dresses, red geraniums and hummingbirds. A crackling fire in the fireplace and clean sheets on my bed. A glass of sweet tea in the summer and a cup of hot chocolate in the winter. The feel of my little sister's arms around me when she hugs me, and driving with the windows down when the weather is nice. The way my husband looks in work jeans and a white t-shirt. The way my heart flutters when Patience squeezes my neck with her chubby arms. Sometimes I forget to notice these things that God has so graciously given me to enjoy. But when I remember to focus on them and thank Him for them, life is really good. |

| Favorite Books | Oh gosh. The Anne of Green Gables series, the Little Britches series, the Little House on the Prairie Series, The Help, The Pursuit of God, Jane Eyre, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Portrait of Dorian Grey, Mrs. Mike, To Kill A Mockingbird...this could go on for a long, long time. |
