| Introduction | I am mum to a twenty-year-old evil genius son (of course, I may be biased) and the clever and beautiful force of nature, twelve-year-old Sprout. My favorite book is whatever I am reading right now, although Flynn Connolly's "The Rising of the Moon" is near the top of the list, as are Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged", and Robert Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land" and "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress." Also, Starhawk's "The Fifth Sacred Thing" and "City of Refuge", and Douglas Adams "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" and "The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul", and anything by Janet Evanovich or Carl Hiaasen, Dick Francis, Richard White (seriously under-rated author, brilliant man, one of my oldest and dearest friends), Kevin Hearne, and...see why I don't have a favorite? |
