Introduction | In 2008, I opened a home daycare so that I could be home with my own children. I loved my job! I had never been hugged and told “I love you” so much in all my life! Part of our daycare day included what I called “Circle Time” – this was where I’d have the preschool-aged kids gather around the table and we’d talk about letters, numbers, shapes, colors, etc. and we’d almost always do some sort of craft as well. This was my favorite part of the day! I just loved seeing their excitement and joy of learning new and exciting things. Because I watched such a wide range of ages it wasn’t always easy for us to have our Circle Time, especially if the infants were extra needy that day. Then it hit me – I needed to open a home preschool so that I could teach these children full time! I was sad to close my daycare and say good-bye to my kiddo’s, but I knew that my preschool was still going to be providing a wonderful service to the community. The preschool has become my “baby” and I’ve put a lot of time, thought, and energy into making it a wonderful place for your child! |
