Introduction	I grew up in Minneapolis and never left. I have three grandsons, the youngest (DP) lives with me. At first I was nervous about whether or not I had the energy and where-with-all to do what needed to be done to ensure this little guy grew up to be a strong, proud, and independent African American. But each day, we learn more and more about each other and we have good friends and a strong support system to step in when needed.
Interests	Gardening (flowers, vegetables), crocheting, golf, cooking, photography, and working with our water garden.
Favorite Movies	Big, Sleepless in Seattle, Splash, everything by Tyler Perry.
Favorite Music	Reggae, old school R&B (Temptations, Otis Redding), classical, some jazz (as long as they don't get carried away improvising).
Favorite Books	The Help, Cleopatra's Daughter, Day Late and Dollar Short, How Stella got Her Groove on.
