| Introduction | A raft guide in California since 1978, and Grand Canyon guide, since 1981, I have done over 140 oar, paddle and kayak trips in the Canyon since my first trip in 1975. I have also worked as a sea kayaking and hiking guide in Mexico, Costa Rica and Chile. For a couple years I taught kayaking and Wilderness Perspectives at Prescott College, Arizona.
