Introduction Kansas City photo stylist, Debbie Dusenberry, opened her first boutique, Curious Sofa in the Crossroads district of KC in 2000. The shop specialized in vintage items, neutral slipcovered furniture, and decorative objects. With a love for curating products and an unorthodox way of display, Debbie led Curious Sofa to became one of the nation's top independent boutiques and a destination shop for customers across the country. . For ten successful years, both Curious Sofa and Debbie's home were featured in many national, trade and local publications (see the press page) which led to a strong following on the shop's website, blog and Facebook page. . After ten years, Debbie closed her store to focus on online sales through the Curious Sofa website. Occasional pop up events and the website sales continued through September of 2017. . In July of 2018, Debbie decided to put Curious Sofa to rest and switch things up to another brand idea, Tobacco Road. Tobacco Road is about slow style: all the rustic, cowboy, boho, and easy items that we love to collect and wear. From Texas to Morocco, you'll find vintage and uncommon objects for men and women.
