| Introduction | I am a originally from the US and have been working in Abu Dhabi since 2010 on the conservation of historic buildings and sites. While most people think of the gulf as a largely modern region with oil boom architecture of glass and steel, there is also a rich heritage of historic coastal towns, oasis villages and archaeological sites dating dating back over 5000 years. Through this blog I hope to highlight that culture by sharing photos and experiences from work and travel in the region. |
