Introduction IMAGE MAKER, NARRATOR, SPATIAL DESIGNER E. Genevieve Williams is an American artist and writer. She founded Studio E Genevieve, a multimedia studio in Manhattan that has earned international acclaim for its groundbreaking design including a Silver Clio, Creativity Platinum and Gold Awards, and a Silver Society of Publication Designers Award. Currently, Genevieve is a professor of Transmedia and Object Design at Yeungnam University in Korea. She is completing a doctorate in Philosophy, Art and Critical Thought from the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. Her work falls into the categories of transmedia storytelling, collaborative culture, user-generated contents, and narratology. Genevieve’s inquires are truth-fictions that cross disciplines. Her work draws on a wide range of influences from painting, to fiction, to studies in religion and semiotics. Genevieve’s work uses sparse and haunting language to question boundaries wherein agency is relinquished to the individual and choice must argue for or against moral systems—or at least interrogate them.
