Introduction | Richard Holland was born in Grove City, Pennsylvania in 1957. Raised in Westlake, Ohio, near Cleveland, he attended Miami University majoring in Elementary Education. While teaching middle school mathematics and coaching basketball in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, he obtained his Master's Degree in school administration from Cleveland State University. After relocating to Atlanta in 1984, he worked as a middle school teacher and middle and high school assistant principal with the Gwinnett County Public School System. He completed his Doctoral Degree in school administration and supervision from the University of Georgia in 1991. He has worked the past 15 years as a middle school principal, helping open his current school, Glenn C. Jones Middle School, in 2004. |
