| Introduction | Alice Plouchard Stelzer has been writing for over 25 years as a publisher, magazine editor, newspaper editor, columnist, and journalist. Her love of women's history brought about six years of research into the lives of a dozen of the first Puritan women to arrive in Massachusetts and Connecticut. This research was culminated into Female Adventurers. She felt these courageous first generation New England women's stories should be told. Stelzer spends time now presenting workshops on researching women, doing book talks and teaching writing. |
