| Introduction | was programming professionally in 'mouse' by age 17, but shortsightedly decided a career as a composer would be more emotionally and financially rewarding than a career as a programmer in the just-pre-internet era. After receiving her Masters in Composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music she realized she absolutely didn't want to write music for money (she called it 'sacrificing my art', back then) and strayed into other ventures for a few years before returning to programming in 1996 - only now on the web instead of a mainframe. She is co-author of the book "Web Design for ROI", VP User Experience and Creative Director of Closed Loop Marketing, and splits her time between web usability analysis and design, practicing martial arts, doing improv, spending time with her boyfriend, and thinking about stuff. |
