Introduction Ismail is a promising young Algerian entrepreneur. He is currently working at TESOBE, a Berlin-based IT consultancy, where he is coordinating the efforts on the Open Bank Project, a European initiative to open up financial transactions, working with a consortium of more than 20 organisations (SMEs, Research Institutes, Banks) in 7 different countries.

He has previously cofounded in Algeria “SMSBridge”, an award-wining tech startup and “ETIC” a student organization that has organized TEDxAlger, first TEDx event in Algeria; Under Ismail’s leadership, ETIC managed to organize 16 tech events during 2009-2010.

He is a part of the MakeSense Project, an open community that promotes social entrepreneurs and social business around the world; he kickstarted the movement in Berlin and is now focused on promoting social entrepreneurship there.

Coined as “one of the most influential actor of the web in Algeria”, this technology enthusiast is also a renowned blogger (at www.idontfixyourpc.com), a social media addict and a recurrent speaker at various international events including TEDxAlger, Algeria, Open World Forum, France and Campus-Party, Spain.
