Flourish & Blotts

Flourish and Blotts live the high life of book review litdom. In between book reviews we both pay the mortgage with pseudo book related jobs in higher education. At least, we would like to think that they’re pseudo book related. But it’s far more interesting to imagine what our ideal day jobs would be like….

Flourish would be in constant motion as the head curator at the John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art. A Blackberry in her left hand, a cell phone in her right, making deals to share exhibits all on the backdrop of the beautiful Florida sunshine all happening, of course, with a killer wardrobe. Ahhh…..

Blotts would be a highly sought after children’s book author, editor, and promoter whose ultimate goal is to put great books in the hands of children everywhere. Freelancing, coaching aspiring writers, and starting her own magazine are her greatest ambitions.

Blotts is the mother of a boisterous single digit old boy while Flourish is the mama of four, four-legged creatures. These appendages often color our experiences and our book reviews!
