| Introduction | I am a communications instructor (and enthusiast) at Eastern Michigan University (EMU) and Washtenaw Community College (WCC). I have been teaching communications since 2005. I started as a graduate student/teaching assistant at EMU under the guidance of Dr. Gary Evans and Dr. Doris Fields. I now teach a full load of classes at EMU year round and teach at least one course at WCC every semester. Classes taught include: Fundamentals of Public Speaking (in a variety of formats), Advanced Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Listening Behavior, Gender Communication, Intercultural Communication, Small Group Communication and an Academic Skills Student Success Seminar (see On Course Workshop). This blog is the place to be for communication articles, news and tools. If you think you don’t need these skills in your life, think again! |
| Interests | Communication effectiveness, healthy relationships, public speaking, effective education and learning life lessons! |
