Introduction | I don't have a profile as I don't have a good side. |
Interests | my laptop, ipod, TV, & sleeping in on a rainy day. I also like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain and the dunes of the cape. Oh...and I only have half a brain! |
Favorite movies | Prefer Action Adventure -SciFi but anything with Alan Rickman, John Malkovich, Jeremy Irons & Richard E.Grant,Johnny Depp, Leo Di Caprio &/or the Coen Bros directing is more than acceptable ...have seen just about all their movies more than once. I do like 4 old black and white films... *Brief Encounter & * Now Voyager. Both luv stories which is not my usual genre, but these two pass and *To Kill a Mocking Bird and the original Cape Fear. More recent ones are: "What's eating Gilbert Grape?", "Fried Green Tomatoes", "Withnail & I", "Of mice and men" and "Primal Fear" with Richard Gere and Ed Norton. Gere doesn't do much for me but Ed Norton is stunningly scary in this one. I haven't been a fan of James Bond (but Daniel Craig has changed my mind!) Anything with Denzil in it is worth a look! I think the most graphically violent mainstream movie I have seen is the "Last of the Mohicans" in 1992 with Daniel Day-Lewis. This might be because it was the first of that type of movie I saw but it still stays with me. To sum up: I just like a good yarn! |
Favorite music | NOT rap, hiphop, screeching sopranos...OR Slim Dusty and that whingy- whiny Kasey Chambers-YUK!. Favourite pieces/ singers are: Anything by Tchaikovsky especially Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake, Handel's Water Music, The Music from Carmen, Theme from movie "Ladies in Lavender" (moves me to tears). Carmina Burana, Four Seasons by Vavaldi (saw Nigel Kennedy play it live-fantastic.) Belero, US singers: Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, the Eagles, James Taylor & John Denver Canadians: Michael Buble & Loreena McKennitt Englishmen: Elton John, Nigel Kennedy, Italian: Andrea Boccelli, There are many others but you get the idea. |

Douglas Deadly, Unna?- P Gwynne Short stories of Jeffrey Archer (not fashionable, I know) & Roald Dahl The Tommorrow Series (Marsden) AND Brewers concise phrase and fable. Q.
