Introduction A love of plants, art and design naturally lead me into garden design. After studying for a degree in printing, photography, ceramics and painting I went on to teach art and design at secondary schools in Hampshire and studied garden design at Sparsholt Agricultural College. Whilst bringing up two children I completed a years' gardening apprenticeship with the Women's Farm and Garden Association. I was placed in a modern garden designed by Christopher Bradley- Hole where I learnt horticultural skills such as pruning, propagation and planting combinations. I then spent three years managing a large country garden, whilst gaining a distinction in garden design at degree level. I now work on a range of projects from small front gardens to large country estates.
