| Introduction | I am the RTI coordinator for Marshall County Schools. I began my educational career at Trigg County High School and Intermediate School in Cadiz, Ky. My classroom experiences include one year teaching 10-12, and seven years teaching 3-5 as a special education teacher. I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychology in 2004. I received my master's degree in special education in 2006 and a master's degree in guidance and counseling in 2012. During my graduate coursework, I learned about RTI at the same time district personnel were beginning to put RTI procedures in place for the district. Due to my unique interest and knowledge with the RTI process, I piloted the process for Trigg County Schools in 2008. Since that time I served on various committees to determine district procedures and paperwork, and to monitor student progress. I was ecstatic to accept my dream job as RTI specialist for Marshall County Schools in July of 2012. |
