| Introduction | When I think about the South and our Southern Draw(l)- I have sweet sweet memories; because it's not just the way we talk...it's a way of life! When I paint, I think about the southern things that bring me joy. Like... rocking on the front porch with a glass of sweet tea in your hand. banana pudding. your feet in the sand and beach music in your ear. running with your dog by your side. sunflowers in the field. chicken pastry. the cool breeze on a Sunday afternoon and the smell of burgers on the grill. peaches and milk. homemade strawberry ice cream. the smell of frying fish with hush puppies on the side. the kitchen where a life full of laughter is made. the thrill of catching baby minnows in the creek. roasting marshmallows around a fire. amazing grace. where smiles make strangers into friends. where some of us never take our Meredith College onyx off our hand. welcome to the good side of life... www.southerndraw.weebly.com |
