| Introduction | FAMILY MAGAZINE Ltd is a new registered company at RDB. After realizing a need of media contribution in country development to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); a team of four professional women journalists; Peace Hillary TUMWESIGIRE, Angele UMUTONI, Mathilde UMURAZA and Everlyne UMURERWA, decided to contribute in poverty eradication in empowering both women and men, mobilize and sensitize them to use the opportunities that they already have in understanding of gender equity and equal rights; human rights versus behavior changes; poverty eradication; use of technology in day to day’s life and in recognizing their role in family and community development at all levels be it in rural or urban areas. But this mission cannot be achieved where family conflicts are becoming a major problem to security of our country and threaten welfare of Rwandan families. |
